چکیده

Simultaneously identifying the composition of mixtures and determining their concentration levels has aroused much attention in recent years to meet large demands compact low-cost infrared spectral sensors replace conventional bulky counterparts with costly separated components. In this work, we propose a design method for multichannel metasurface array optics covering two bands middle-wave (MWIR) long-wave (LWIR) construction integrated gas sensors. The use microstructures same height realizes effective filtering focusing electromagnetic waves at multiple wavelengths both bands, which is beneficial decrease manufacturing costs. Four-channel lens arrays filter operating 3.5, 9.7, 10.6, $3.9 \mu \text{m}$ corresponding absorption peaks three gases ethanol, ammonia, ethylene, one reference wavelength, respectively, were designed produced by photolithographic patterning dry etching processes on silicon substrates. have advantages easy fabrication integration wideband detector form detector, meets requirements small volume low cost advanced applications portable smart sensing systems Internet Things.

Metasurface optics for full-color computational imaging

Conventional imaging systems comprise large and expensive optical components that successively mitigate aberrations. Metasurface optics offers a route to miniaturize imaging systems by replacing bulky components with flat and compact implementations. The diffractive nature of these devices, however, induces severe chromatic aberrations, and current multiwavelength and narrowband achromatic meta...

Thermal infrared spectral band detection limits for unidentified surface materials.

Infrared emission spectra recorded by airborne or satellite spectrometers can be searched for spectral features to determine the composition of rocks on planetary surfaces. Surface materials are identified by detections of characteristic spectral bands. We show how to define whether to accept an observed spectral feature as a detection when the target material is unknown. We also use remotely s...

Population analysis from adaptive optics narrow band spectral energy distributions

Context. The GC is the closest galactic nucleus, offering the unique possibility to study the population of a dense stellar cluster surrounding a SMBH. Aims. The goals of this work are to develop a new method to separate early and late type stellar components of a dense stellar cluster based on narrow band filters, to apply it to the central parsec of the GC, and to conduct a population analysi...

Textile integrated sensors and actuators for near-infrared spectroscopy.

Being the closest layer to our body, textiles provide an ideal platform for integrating sensors and actuators to monitor physiological signals. We used a woven textile to integrate photodiodes and light emitting diodes. LEDs and photodiodes enable near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) systems to monitor arterial oxygen saturation and oxygenated and deoxygenated hemoglobin in human tissue. Photodiod...
